Here and Now. . .

This moment is all we have ~

This sacramental moment.

A moment that will come only once

full of now ~ full of history

This moment is a treasure to be cherished ~

it talks of life, of love, of peace

This moment gives me freedom

speaks to me of family and fragility,

here and now,

future and eternity.

This moment, so powerful in its silence

comes and goes without a word.

This moment which cannot be grasped, cannot be held

is at the same time powerful and life-giving

This moment that teaches,

gives perspective, propels me onward ~

This moment that calls out to me

but waits not ~

beckons, but stops not ~

This moment is all we have ~

this sacramental moment.

A moment that will come only once ~

full of the promise of tomorrow.

  1. You are very welcome Br. Andre. I am in the midst of reading your book, “When Jesus Wept”. I don’t think everyone knows how many forms grieving takes. I like your discussion on this subject.
